Kitchen Art

So my kitchen is kind of bare and I really wanted to add color to those drab white walls. So I thought why should I go out and buy something when I can do something myself. I painted 6 small pieces of art to hang in my kitchen. I got a few ideas online. So here they are!

Christma Eve Apple Pie

Here is an apple pie that I made for Christmas Eve dinner. Very easy to make:

6-8 Granny Smith Apples

2 Tbs butter
2Tbs Flour
2 Tsp of Cinnamon
3/4 Cup of Sugar
2 Tsp of Lemon Juice

1 egg

Peel apples, and slice mix all the above in a bowl.

I use remade pie crusts, because doe and me do not mix! Saves a lot of time too, and no one will ever know unless you tell them.

Preheat oven to 375

Lay your first pie crust in your dish, load all the mixed ingredients
Lay second doe crust on top, cover with an egg wash you made from the egg
Sprinkle with a little cinnamon and sugar. Make a few holes in the top, use your creativity here.
 Bake 50 minutes or until golden brown.
Set for about 10 minutes at least before serving.

** Always keep an eye on your pies!** ** I always place a baking sheet under my pie dish, just in case of disaster!**
